The Group is focused on its core competence of the provision of hosting services and has a clearly defined strategy of becoming one of the UK's foremost managed hosting and cloud computing operators.

In its simplest terms, web Hosting is an internet or online based service that enables organisations and individuals to store information and content on servers that can be accessed by others via the web, or cloud as it is becoming increasingly referred. This service is traditionally provided by combining the technical expertise of a number of partners - from the hosting service provider, to the data centre operator to the network/connectivity supplier.

The iomart Group's approach is different.

With over a decade's experience in delivering web services, the Group has experience of a wide range of customer requirements and solutions, from micro businesses requiring basic web site hosting to designing and managing high end clustered data base solutions for multi nationals.

By owning its own data centres the Group has become totally accountable to its clients through the sole ownership of the entire hosting end to end process. The iomart Group is not a data centre provider who offers hosting as a 'value added' service. Hosting is the Group's core business.

The Group offers a variety of hosting solutions and services - via its brands - to meet the online needs of the entire marketplace from the domain name to the private cloud. Each hosting operating brand is wholly owned by iomart Group, but each is structured as a separate team, totally focused on delivering and supporting hosting services for its particular marketplace.
