iomart Financial Director in running for Quoted Company Award

Richard Logan, financial director of AIM-listed data centre and managed hosting operator iomart plc, has been nominated for the FD Of The Year in the Quoted Company Awards, to be held at the Grosvenor Hotel in London’s Park Lane later this month – the only Scottish-based FD to have been shortlisted.

Richard, who joined iomart as FD in 2006, oversaw the sale of iomart subsidiary Ufindus to BT for £20m in July of last year, and has been pivotal in improving the efficiency and performance of the business. In December’s interim trading statement to the City, iomart announced profits of £12.5m and predicted an investor dividend this year.

Angus MacSween, CEO of iomart, said: ““We’re delighted Richard is being recognised in this way at such a prestigious event. He is an important part of a very strong Executive team, and we value his contribution and commitment greatly.”

Richard was Finance and Commercial Director of software firm Kingston SCL for 10 years during which time he engineered a management buy out and subsequent trade sale. He also held the posts of finance director with ePOINT Group and The Interactive University, as well as being group treasurer of shipping organisation Ben Line.

The Quoted Company Awards will be held at the Grosvenor Hotel in Park Lane, London, on January 28.
