Nottingham Data Centre

Our data centre is situated to the west of the city, less than half a kilometre from Nottingham’s main commercial and shopping district. It offers 400m² (4,305ft²) of high quality, resilient and secure space. As with all of our highly secure centres, the facility is backed by our guaranteed service levels.

As a carrier neutral facility, our Nottingham site delivers diverse fibre routing via multiple carriers and is directly monitored by us, meaning we can evaluate our systems without the use of middlemen. The 24-hour manned facility is part of a geographically dispersed network of secure centres that offer colocation, managed hosting and managed cloud services.

The Nottingham site is interconnected with other centres across the country and worldwide by almost 2,000km of private dark fibre network, allowing large-scale virtualisation, distributed storage and multi-site disaster recovery. Every site within this network is ISO and DSS compliant to ensure that data integrity and security is paramount.

We wholly own and operate our Nottingham data centre, which is protected 24/7 by intruder alarms, CCTV and manned security. The centre is also loaded with a cutting-edge framework and is N+1 in design to prevent any point of failure.

Supported by our 24/7 Network Operations Centre, the Nottingham facility allows fluid interconnection between many colocation and interconnection providers, thereby allowing businesses to take full advantage of cloud computing services across the country.

Our carefully controlled environment is constantly monitored to prevent failure and includes fully redundant air conditioning units, an FM200 suppression system and dual zone fire detection.
