iomart secures Suzuki e-mail Contract

iomart wins e-mail services contract for Suzuki GB PLC and their 140 Automobile Dealerships nationwide E-mail, Messaging & Internet Security specialists, iomart Group plc, today announced that Suzuki GB PLC, a leading supplier of Automobiles, Motorbikes and Power Products, has selected it’s managed e-mail service as the messaging solution for Suzuki’s 140 strong automobile network. iomart will provide a fully managed e-mail service for Suzuki, enabling car buying customers to communicate via e-mail with their local Suzuki dealership.

Finding the right e-mail service was of vital importance to Suzuki as it prepares to roll out it’s new Dealership websites. From November, each of the 140 Suzuki Dealerships will go on-line with individual websites, branded with a common look and feel, enabling prospective customers to search new and used vehicles, request literature, book test drives & car servicing appointments via e-mail from the web pages. The initiative forms one of several that Suzuki are implementing to further its drive for innovative corporate branding solutions whilst enabling Dealerships to retain their individuality. In this case, dealerships will be allocated a number of e-mail addresses that will identify both the dealership and the parent company

Suzuki’s Head Office staff will also use the e-mail service as a primary communication channel with the Dealerships and this will be further integrated into the Company’s intranet for the dissemination of appropriate Dealer information, for example the distribution of technical manuals.

Commenting on the contract, Steve Redford, Marketing Manager, Suzuki GB PLC stated, "This initiative not only delivers us one more vital channel for facilitating the communications process between Suzuki and our dealer network but also provides another channel between the dealer and the car buying customer".

Bill Taylor, General Manager IT, Suzuki GB PLC added "All aspects of an e-mail service were evaluated and physically tested from cost effectiveness, virus protection, scalability, and service levels through to the general flexibility that the service affords. It was essential that we selected a partner who understood our business, our aims and could convince us of their ability to deliver a full end-to-end solution. In our view, iomart’s managed e-mail service provides the perfect match for Suzuki’s needs"
