We are a cloud computing and IT managed services business providing hybrid cloud, network connectivity, and digital workplace services. Now, that’s quite a mouthful, but our mission is simple: to make you unstoppable by enabling you to connect, secure and scale anywhere, anytime.
iomart was founded in 1998 as an integrated internet and telecoms company. Those were still the days of dial-up (cue screechy modem noises…), but as online services started to take off it was clear our customers needed additional support.
In 2000, we floated on the London Stock Exchange’s Alternative Investment Market, providing a range of cloud services to businesses and public sector organisations.
In 2007, we decided to buy our first UK data centres which, combined with our 2500km of dark fibre network, allowed us to independently manage our customers’ entire online journey.
Our business continued to grow and we also built up extra expertise through acquisition and joining forces with some fantastic, specialist brands operating throughout the UK.
Most recently, in 2020, our founder Angus MacSween stepped down and Reece Donovan became our new CEO. Reece has introduced some fresh ideas and added some new team members to drive the next chapter of iomart. We are focused on putting our people first, building a learning culture and working hard to deliver an exceptional service to our customers by making things straightforward.

iomart adheres to the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 governing the rights and duties of companies to safeguard personal data. iomart is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (Reg. No. Z5157819).
Level 1 PCI DSS certified, allowing us to support our customers’ ecommerce and online payment processing systems by protecting their cardholder data.
Confirms that we protect our business against the most common cyber threats.
Our operations in the U.S. are compliant with ITAR which restricts and controls the export of defence and military related technologies to safeguard national and foreign security policy objectives.
Our Points of Presence in the U.S. are independently assessed and compliant with SSAE 18, Service Organisation Controls 2 (SOC 2), Type II relating to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.
iomart is approved to supply services and solutions to the public sector through the G-Cloud 12 framework.
