Our Gosport Data Centre (DC9)
We operate a data centre in Gosport, Hampshire, housed in the Frater Gate Business Park, is located four miles north of the town centre and a similar distance from both Fareham railway station and the M27. Like other iomart sites, both have a 12kN/m² raised floor system with network cabling and power delivered in the floor void.
We’ve upgraded the UPS at our Gosport data centre, which is now operating at around 97.5% efficiency. These changes will make savings year on year, which will help us provide significant protection to our customers in terms of potential energy price increases. And we have further improvements planned for early 2023.
Key Features of DC9
- A 631m², tier 2 facility, located just outside the town centre
- The site has an 11000volt power supply into the site
- A 500kVA with an three 160kVA UPS in place as well as a generator contingency
- The data centre is manned by more than eight staff during key working hours with out of hours support from the wider group.
