The VMware Partner Programme Is Changing – Here’s What It Means for MSPs

From November 2025, Broadcom is closing the legacy Advantage Partner Programme and retiring the White Label licensing model. 

By 31 March 2027, all existing contracts under the old model will expire. 

After this date, only VMware Pinnacle Partners will be authorised to deliver VMware Cloud Services. 

For most MSPs, this means: 

  • No ability to increase VMware commitments
  • No route to onboard new customers independently
  • Contract, compliance, and customer retention risk
  • Risk of being unable to support existing VMware workloads
  • A need to align with a Pinnacle Partner to remain operational
